One of the more heavily debated historic symbols, the Fleur De Lis has claimed its origins in 13th Century France, both in Greece and Rome around the birth of Christ, and even in Syria pre-birth of Christ. The story goes that the famous King Clovis would wear nothing more then a French Lily (aka the Fleur De Lis) around his neck when riding into battle and to victory (The ancient conqueror was never defeated).
