Worn by men as far back as the First World War, and brought back to prominence over the last few years by British labels Burberry and Aquascutum (who both lay claim to its invention), the Navy Trench Coat is a go-to coat for the modern gentleman. A little less mainstream than it's khaki cousin, we still consider the Navy Trench Coat to be one of the top five most wearable coats. It's great over a dark suit on rainy days. The key to looking great in this coat is the dress shirt you wear with it. To make the most of this jacket, get it cut slim. You will be slightly more restricted when wearing a full suit, but will look handsome with just dress shirt, slacks, and tie. Swap the slacks for jeans and turn the jacket into the centerpiece of a stylish, casual look.
