INDOCHINO PUTS A NEW CUSTOM SUIT ON CHESTNUT STREET

Philadelphia, PA – Indochino, global pioneer in custom menswear, is bringing its suit revolution to cities across North America and launching showrooms on a permanent basis. The Philadelphia showroom at 1606 Chestnut Street re-opens its doors on August 7 with a bold new design concept and features the company’s first US Groom’s Lounge, which will raise the bar for made-to-measure experiences everywhere. Appointments can be scheduled at www.indochino.com/philly.

To celebrate, everyone who buys a full priced custom suit at the new showroom before August 30, 2015 will receive a free wrinkle free custom shirt worth $79 if they mention code PHILLYSTYLE at their appointment.

The move to permanent showrooms follows a series of successful pilots over the past 12 months as Indochino continues its mission to get more men in more suits. The Philadelphia showroom first opened in January 2015 and the company has locations in New York, San Francisco, Toronto, Vancouver and, most recently, Boston. A showroom in Beverly Hills is opening later this month and the company plans to have ten stores open by the end of the year.

Philadelphia is the third showroom to open under the brand’s redesign and the first US location to feature its unique Groom’s Lounge concept. Furthermore, the store has undergone a major renovation with new wood flooring, lighting and an expanded ceiling, for a bright and inviting shopping experience.

The new showroom design merges traditional tailoring with high tech touch points for a salon-style shopping experience. Large fabric panels hang throughout the modern, open space and mannequin clusters showcase the top suiting designs and endless customization options. Tables with marble, glass and walnut finishes are devoted to iMac working stations, shirting customization options and accessories. When they are not shopping, guests can relax on comfy leather sofas in the lounge area.

The Groom’s Lounge is a dedicated area for men getting married to enjoy the exclusive shopping experience that until now has been reserved for brides. Indochino has chosen Philadelphia as the location for its first US Groom’s Lounge after seeing a big appetite for affordable custom wedding attire in the area. This masculine space has everything the group needs to get dressed for the big day, allowing the groom and his groomsmen to have fun and relax in comfort while they get measured and coordinate their outfits for the big day.

Kyle Vucko, Indochino’s CEO and co-founder, said: “We’ve had an incredible year putting down roots in our favorite cities and our showroom concept has proved a runaway success everywhere. The number of men we’re suiting up in Philly has been gaining pace and we see a great future in the city. We’re excited to now be putting our best foot forward with a stunning new store design that will inspire more men to dress their best every day!”

HOW THE SHOWROOM WORKS

Searching for a suit that fits straight off-the-rack is a thing of the past. Customers arrive at their appointment and work individually with an Indochino Style Guide to create one-of-a-kind custom suits from $449 and shirts from $79. They get professionally measured before choosing from the latest suiting designs and endless customization options, including buttons, vents, pockets, lapels and monograms.

The finished garment is delivered in approximately four weeks and customers return for a second fitting to make sure the suit or shirt fits perfectly. The custom suiting process is risk free: Indochino covers the cost of alterations; will remake the garment for free; or offer a full refund.

A REVOLUTIONARY CONCEPT FOR AN OMNICHANNEL FUTURE

Indochino continues to disrupt the brick-and-mortar landscape with its omnichannel approach to retail that is geared toward the modern shopper. The showroom operates hand-in-hand with the online store to ensure that customers have a streamlined experience, whether they are visiting the showroom or shopping from home. Men build and order their suit in-store but, unlike a traditional retail outlet, the space has no inventory, with each garment made to measure and delivered four weeks later.

INDOCHINO INNOVATES WITH THE LIFE-PROOF SUIT

Indochino is unveiling its Fall 2015 Collection in the showroom, which includes Indotech, a new line of luxurious wool suits which possess the hidden capability to resist water, oil and stains. Made from 100% merino wool, these incredible suits look and feel like other fine wool suiting, but keep the wearer looking sharp and feeling invincible no matter what.

Each custom suit is crafted from 100 percent Australian merino wool that has undergone an advanced treatment to help it resist water, oil and stains. Liquids bead off its polymerized surface, while the fabric’s natural fibers breathe and wick moisture away from the body, keeping the wearer clean, cool and confident.

“Indotech is our most exciting, innovative fabric ever. It acts like a secret agent to keep the wearer looking suave and ready to tackle any challenge life throws at him,” says Tom Kearnan, Indochino’s Director of Fashion and Merchandise.

“In Indotech, there is no need to worry about being caught in a rainstorm on the way to an interview, spilling greasy food during that important meeting or having a red wine incident on a date. This is the suit that will get you out of any number of sticky spots and ensure, like James Bond, that you always look and feel like a million dollars!”

Indochino is introducing eight premium Indotech fabrics, featuring on-trend colorations and classic patterns that can be completely personalized to suit any man’s style. The line offers an array of solids, pinstripes and glen plaids in bright indigos, twisted charcoals, and deeper shades of navy, guaranteeing there’s a fabric for every taste and situation.

ABOUT INDOCHINO

Indochino (www.indochino.com) is a worldwide leader and pioneer in custom men's apparel.

Indochino is at the forefront of a global suit revolution that is seeing more and more men suiting up once again. Indochino offers suits and shirts that are completely customizable and tailor made to the wearer’s personal measurements, all at an incredible value.

It all started with an ill-fitting suit. Indochino’s founders struggled to find an affordable suit that fit well. They saw a missed opportunity in the space – delivering men’s custom apparel cost-effectively – and in 2007 they created the first online company to deliver mass custom-made apparel to men everywhere.

The company’s multi-touch customer experience allows men to order their made-to-measure clothing online, via mobile or in person at Indochino showrooms, now open in Toronto, Vancouver, New York, San Francisco, Philadelphia and Boston.
