INTRODUCING SUMMER 2014: DRESSING DOWN FOR A HOT SUMMER IN THE CITY

Launching online May 16th, the Summer 2014 Collection offers stylish lightweight suits and shirts for work—and play.

May 15, 2014 - Vancouver, BC - Indochino, the leader in custom online menswear, has created the wardrobe for modern men looking to liven up and dress down for summer. Launching online May 16th, the Summer 2014 Collection offers stylish lightweight suits and shirts for work—and play.

“Menswear trends this summer are all about relaxing a formal look,” explains Tom Kearnan, Indochino Director of Merchandising. “That means suits with light buttons and patch pockets that look as good with a t-shirt as with a button-down shirt, going sockless with your suit, and lighter fabric and fabric-blends. More traditional guys can still embrace the casual trend by wearing micro-patterns with bright shirts, choosing patterns with lighter backgrounds, and updating the dandy layered look by choosing lightweight fabrics for their three-piece suits.”

The collection is comprised of 20 new suits and seven shirts. The range of suits is in lighter weight fabrics –100% wool, and wool-blends (including silk, linen and cotton blends). The new fabric weights add a lightness and wearability, while still retaining flexibility by being wearable in three seasons. They feature twisted yarns that pull through the lighter shades of summer, even through darker cloths, and add a rich sense of iridescence. The silk blends add a polish and fashion sheen. There is also a small range of stretch fabrics, to add comfort and mobility.

New shirts will come up in cotton-linen blends and 100% linen options.

Summer customizations for Indochino suits include lighter shades of buttons for suits, patch pockets on wool-linen and wool-cotton suits, plus a whole range of seasonal and event-driven lining options. All Indochino suits are made-to-order, with 20 complimentary customizations including monogramming, linings, and lapel and vent style.

The color palate for summer is in a range of masculine shades, with an emphasis towards tan and light gray highlighted by ink and cobalt. Patterns run the gamut from conservative micro-patterns to bold fashion-forward looks like exploded checks and summer stripes.

Featured items include an Oyster Shadow Box Suit, a Pebble Cotton-Blend Wool Fine Line Stripe Suit, and a Premium Optic White Herringbone Tonal Stripe Shirt.

Guys can shop the collection at www.indochino.com from May 16th and at upcoming Traveling Tailor pop-up stores in Toronto (May 8th – June 8th) and Atlanta (May 16th – 23rd).
