INDOCHINO OPENS FLAGSHIP SHOWROOM ON NEW YORK’S MADISON AVENUE

Global Leader in Custom Apparel Arrives in Midtown

New York, NY – INDOCHINO, the global leader in custom apparel, has opened a New York flagship showroom at 488 Madison Avenue on October, bringing its experiential retail concept to one of the world’s most iconic streets. This is the third Manhattan location for the fast growing retailer, which is making perfectly tailored, personalized apparel an affordable reality for men across North America.

The new 1,600 square feet showroom is ideally situated in the center of Midtown’s menswear hub on the corner of Madison Avenue at 51st Street and offers a shopping experience like no other. Customers are designated their own Style Guide who walks them through designing their one-of-a-kind suits, shirts, blazers, chinos and overcoats.

“New York is an incredible city of 4.5 million men of all sizes and tastes and we’re offering an easy way for each one of them to find their perfect fit,” said Drew Green, President and Chief Executive Officer of INDOCHINO. “We already have a strong customer presence in Midtown so bringing our made-to-measure concept to the world-famous Madison Avenue and opening a flagship across from scores of leading menswear brands is a natural next step for us.”

During an hour long appointment, customers choose from hundreds of fabrics and endless complimentary customization options including lapels, buttons, pockets, linings and monograms. Garments are then made to their precise measurements and shipped directly to their door within three weeks for a perfect fit, hassle free. Customer profiles are stored online for easy repeat shopping in the showroom or from the comfort of their home.

Custom suits start at $399 with shirts from $79, giving customers access to the superior quality and fit of tailored clothing at a price comparable to ready-to-wear. The brand is ideal for anyone looking to upgrade their professional wardrobe, suit up for special occasions such as a wedding, or sharpen up a casual look. The company also recently launched custom chinos and overcoats.

This is the 15th showroom to open in 2018 and 34th overall as INDOCHINO continues to grow exponentially. Year-to-date in the United States, the company has achieved 50% year-over-year growth, fueled by retail expansion and backed by a powerful omnichannel platform. September 2018 has been the company’s strongest sales month so far this year with year-over-year growth approaching 70%. Corey Bialow of Bialow Real Estate represented Indochino in the negotiation of the lease.

“For our customers, the elevated experience of designing their garment is an essential part of the overall product and this distinguishes us from traditional off the rack retailers,” continued Drew Green. “This approach is driving our profitable growth and we fully expect to continue to deliver exceptional experiences at this pace for the next decade and beyond as we build a globally recognized brand.”
